CLASS OF 2018
I am truly blessed to have such a fantastic school in Buffalo. My son Max has been part of “The Academy” for three years. I never thought having a child exposed to a customized learning environment could have such a positive impact on a child both academically and psychologically. Max has grown to be a confident and caring young man with a new sense ownership and commitment to his studies. The academic program is successfully preparing him for the rigors of college.
Another benefit of attending “The Academy” is the close-knit “we are family” unity. The school feels more like a second home with strong bonds built between students and teachers.
As I have witnessed the transformation of our son into a young adult, I am gratified to know that the academic foundation he has received at the Buffalo Academy of Scholars will serve him well as he embraces the future challenges that lie ahead.

Since my daughter started at The Buffalo Academy of Scholars, I have been extremely pleased with her progress and the dedication of the staff. Because it is a smaller school, students receive individual attention based on their needs. This also provides a safe environment without all the distractions larger schools have. The teachers have been able to help my daughter with areas of weakness and further develop her strengths. My daughter has greatly improved her skills in reading, writing and math. On the regents exams that she elected to take, she has scored well. The grading, reporting and feedback is very detailed and personalized. My daughter has matured greatly since starting just over a year ago. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend The Buffalo Academy of Scholars.

The Academy provides a unique and enriching academic experience for students unlike any other school. We have been impressed with the individualized curriculum that the school developed for our son, and we are thrilled with his level of enthusiasm for his classes and engagement with his instructors. Thanks to the Academy’s thoughtful and caring approach to education, our son is discovering and expanding upon his unique talents at his own pace and in ways that would not be possible in a traditional classroom setting.

Our son’s experience at The Academy has been very positive. While he struggles with the mandates of the public school bureaucracy, the Academy has afforded him traditional education homogenized with the attention and freedom to express who he really is.
